OFFICE REPORT <br /> HALL COUNTY SHERIFF <br /> FEBRUARY 2019 <br /> TOTAL FEES MILEAGE & MISC $ 16,368.52 <br /> COPIES $ 25.00 <br /> HANDGUN APPLICATIONS $ 170.00 <br /> TITLE INSPECTIONS $ 2,750.00 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:25 a.m. adjourned the regular meeting returned to the regular meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chair Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 5. CONNIE HULTINE DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING PROBATION <br /> OFFICE UPDATE — Connie Hultine with district #8 Probation office noted that with the passage <br /> of LB602 four years ago the class 3 and 4 felonies that are coming out of prison were under <br /> probation. There has been funding for this initiative and received 3 officers. So far there have <br /> not been any changes and they have ample space to house the officers. They will just need to <br /> address where they can put the new employees. <br /> Lancaster stated that Connie invited her to walk through the office and pointed out spaces <br /> where the new staff can go. Connie noted that there are files in the old Health Department <br /> Building and they retain 10 years of files. Lancaster noted they may need to have some <br /> renovations to accommodate the new employees but it will be minimal changes <br /> 6 TODD BAHENSKY - DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO AWARD BID FOR THE <br /> JAIL SECURITY CAMERA SYSTEM - Mr. Bahensky stated they received one bid and he spent <br /> some time reviewing it to make sure it would fit. He has dollars in line items in his budget and <br /> also dollars in the equipment improvement reserve fund for this project. He has reviewed the <br /> proposal and the turn key proposal is the best option. He would have CML do the entire project <br /> the total bid was $239,755.00. Todd stated that they will do part of the work in house and he <br /> has discussed this with CML and with that they have agreed to reduce the cost by $30,000.00. <br /> They will still have to buy the cable and conduit but Doug Drudik stated that they can order that <br /> and get a better price. This cable and conduit has to meet fire codes. <br /> He is asking the county board to approve the bid from CML for the $209,755.00. He stated there <br /> may be additional expenses for the installation and materials. <br /> Hartman ask if he was replacing or adding and Todd stated doing a little of both it has been 10 <br /> years and this project needs to be done. Hartman stated if there is money in a line item it has to <br /> be spent. Quandt stated this system is used 24/7. Todd stated that this will address some blind <br /> spots and they cannot get replacement parts for the current system. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to accept the bid from CML for the jail <br /> security camera system. for $209,755.00. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 3 <br />
