Steve stated he stopped at Dick's house and was concerned if <br /> he would even be able to get back out. <br /> Lancaster noted an e mail from Pete Eden with NIRMA that our policy does not provide <br /> coverage on roads but they are available to answer questions on buildings or building contents. <br /> Bredthauer ask about the Wood River shed and Steve stated they did not have to put down <br /> sandbags thee was minimal seepage. She also questioned if there would be bridge <br /> inspections. <br /> Steve stated that someone one will come out and inspect the bridges at no cost. Steve stated <br /> that Hall County was fortunate, the rivers were out of their banks but all of the bridges have <br /> deep pile foundations so they were not affected. They will still look at them to make sure there <br /> are no sinkholes. He stated we did not lose bridges but there are a number of culverts that were <br /> affected and some are still closed. There may be 6 or 7 that are compromised. They will have <br /> to go out for bids for the repairs. He is making a list and will find out what needs to be done. He <br /> also stated that they may spend up to $10,000 on crushed rock, sand and clay. He stated that <br /> there are still 47 roads that are impassable. <br /> Quandt asked about the gravel and paved roads. Steve stated that only 2 paved roads that <br /> may have issues Wood River Road and Cameron Road by Highway 11. <br /> Bailey Gibson with GIS and Steve Riehle showed a map of the flooded roads and pictures of the <br /> flooding. <br /> Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen thanked Steve for assistance posting the signs <br /> for the South Locust property. <br /> 12.A DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE RESOLUTION FOR SURPLUS <br /> ITEMS AT THE WEED DEPARTMENT—Weed Superintendent Rob Schultz stated that he and <br /> Steve Riehle have been working together to free up space in a bay at the Weed Department <br /> Building for them to move some equipment over there. This proposed change will help meet the <br /> safety needs for the Road Department. <br /> The Weed Board met and voted to declare the surplus items and they are also considering <br /> addressing one more truck. He provided a resolution and an attached list of the surplus <br /> property that they will put up for sale. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve Resolution #19-036. <br /> Authorizing the sale of surplus county property. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt <br /> and Peterson all voted yes and none voted no. Richardson was absent. Motion carried. <br /> 9 <br />
