7. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON AMBULANCE CONTRACT - Quandt and Lancaster <br /> met with Jerry Janulewicz, the City Administrator and the Fire Chief regarding the ambulance <br /> agreement. The board received information at the last meeting. This is a 2 year contract with a <br /> 2% increase for year two. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to authorize the Chair to sign the ambulance <br /> contract agreement. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt and Peterson all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Richardson was absent. Motion carried <br /> 11a PUBLIC WORKS —A) DISCUSS & CONSIDERATION OF REJECTION OF INFORMAL <br /> SEALED BID FROM JANTZEN EQUIPMENT CO. MADRID, NEBRASKA THAT WAS <br /> RECEIVED LATE — Steve Riehle stated that in the specifications for the pressure washer the <br /> due date for the bids was included and the bid opening date was set. He is recommending to <br /> reject this bid and do not open it. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to reject the bid from Jantzen Equipment for the <br /> pressure washer because it was received late. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt <br /> and Peterson all voted yes and none voted no. Richardson was absent. Motion carried <br /> 11B) DISCUSS & CONSIDERATION OF AWARD OF INFORMAL SEALED BID ON <br /> PRESSURE WASHER - Steve stated that in the bids that was received from Grone's Outdoor <br /> Power there was an option for a GFS/HC4300L 4gpm 3000 PSI for $500.00 less so the total bid <br /> would be $6,350.78 after the $500.00 and the $750.00 trade. <br /> Hartman made a motion and Quandt seconded to award the bid to Crone's Outdoor Power for <br /> the Hydro GFS/HC 5300L power washer. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt and <br /> Peterson all voted yes and none voted no. Richardson was absent. Motion carried <br /> 11C) DISCUSSION & CONSIDERATION OF PURCHASING EXTENDED WARRANT ON <br /> KUBOTA EXCAVATOR - This bid was opened the last week of December and they received a <br /> good bid price. There 3 options, the straight edge bucket, the compaction wheel, auto lube <br /> system and extended warranty. Steve stated he discussed this with Mr. Hartman and rich and <br /> there is a warranty on the unit for 2 years so they are going to wait for 23 months and then if <br /> they feel it is necessary purchase the extended warranty. <br /> Hartman made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to wait on the extended warranty for 23 <br /> months. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt and Peterson all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Richardson was absent. Motion carried <br /> D) DISCUSS & CONSIDERATION OF SETTING BID FOR APRIL 16, 2019 FOR SKID STEER <br /> LOADERS - Steve Riehle requested to pull this item the specifications are not done. He will <br /> come back in 2 weeks. <br /> E) PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE - Lancaster thanked Mr. Riehle for working with Jon Rosenlund, <br /> the Sheriff and all of the people in the village came together. She noted that she has kept <br /> people informed about the condition of the roads and where there would a dangerous road <br /> situation. She also stated that he has kept Mr. Hartman informed. <br /> Quandt ask how long it might take to fix the road and Steve sated they are assessing the roads <br /> now but there are still some roads that are underwater. They are trying to address issues as <br /> they come up, so people can get out he noted an issue on military road a tractor was stuck and <br /> 8 <br />
