Lancaster asked if anyone had any questions. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson <br /> Quandt and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 19 EXECUTIVE SESSION TO RECEIVE ADVICE FROM LEGAL COUNSEL ON A <br /> PERSONNEL MATTER & FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC'S INTEREST <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Peterson seconded to go into executive session. This executive <br /> session is to protect the public interest. Lancaster stated that Pam Bourne, Sarah Carstensen <br /> and Marty Klein will be included in the executive session. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Peterson Quandt and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Held a quick break. <br /> 12:07 p.m. executive session. <br /> 1:20 p.m. Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to go out of executive session. No <br /> other subject was discussed, no votes were taken and no action was taken. Bredthauer, <br /> Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson Quandt and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 4. COUNTY ATTORNEY DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON A LEASE FOR THE LAND <br /> HALL COUNTY OWNS AT THE FORMER ARMY AMMUNITIONS PLANT - Mr. Rainforth paid <br /> the $10,750.00 payment that was due for last year this morning and the board members have a <br /> copy of the receipt. He indicated that he will have the next payment by the next meeting. <br /> Discussion was held to wait another 2 weeks. <br /> Quandt made a motion to put both pieces of property out for lease. No second motion failed. <br /> Hartman may not get as much money. Sarah this is the last payment for the lease. <br /> Bredthauer expressed concern about advertising for the farm ground lease because we are <br /> currently getting $10,750.00 and land may not be renting for that much now so the county could <br /> lose money. She suggested waiting for 2 weeks. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Quandt seconded to wait until the next meeting to see if we <br /> receive the additional payment and take action at that time. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Peterson Quandt and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to begin the process for the new lease this <br /> would have to be the public hearing and begin the process for the lease of the former Army <br /> Ammunition plant property. Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen stated that the <br /> committee met regarding the lease terms. It is a 3 year lease for the alfalfa and then in 3 years <br /> reconsiders what the best use for the property would be. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Peterson Quandt and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Quandt ask who pays the taxes on the property. The county pays the taxes. <br /> 20. DISCUSSION AND POTENTIAL ACTION FROM PERSONNEL SESSION — Peterson made <br /> a motion and Richardson seconded to allow Pam Bourne to investigate a personnel matter. <br /> Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson and Richardson voted yes and Bredthauer, Hartman and Quandt <br /> voted no. Motion carried <br /> 14 <br />
