20 DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING BOARD AGENDA— Lancaster pulled <br /> this item it can be discussed later. <br /> 23 EXECUTIVE SESSION - UNION NEGOTIATIONS Richardson made a motion and Peterson <br /> seconded to go into executive session regarding union negotiations. This executive session is <br /> to protect the public interest. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and <br /> Richardson and all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> 1:46 p.m. executive session <br /> 1:51 p.m. Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go out of executive session. No <br /> other subjects were discussed no action was taken and no votes were taken. Bredthauer, <br /> Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson and all voted yes and none voted <br /> no. Motion carried <br /> 17 DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING AN AMENDMENT TO HIRING JERRY <br /> PIGSLEY, LEGAL COUNSEL FOR UNION NEGOTIATIONS & CONTRACT PREPARATIONS <br /> TO INCLUDE OBTAINING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AS NEEDED TO CARRY OUT HIS <br /> DUTIES - Hartman made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the amendment to the <br /> contract with Jerry Pigsley and allow him to obtain professional services necessary to carry out <br /> his duties for the union negotiations. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson <br /> and Richardson and all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 1:55 p.m. returned to the Board of Equalization meeting to hold the executive session <br /> 1:55 p.m. executive session <br /> 2:06 p.m. adjourned the Board of equalization meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT— Bonnie Kosmicki stated she did not have a report. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS — Hartman reported he attended the Weed <br /> Board meeting. He expressed concern regarding the amount of spraying that is done and the <br /> amount equipment. He noted that the highway department needs room and there may be <br /> space there. Discussion was held and this is an elected board. <br /> Lancaster noted we have to have a weed superintendent and have the agreement with Howard <br /> County. There may be another county interested in contracting with Hall County. She also <br /> noted that the building inspector is also in that building and his revenue pays for his wages and <br /> the secretary. They will get a list of the equipment and the revenue and bring it to the board. <br /> Richardson noted the press release regarding the CRANE public transportation it stands for <br /> Central Ride Agency of Nebraska <br /> Quandt noted that if they moved the road department office the road department would have <br /> more space and they could use the same reception people. Hartman stated there is a lot of <br /> equipment could hire it cheaper. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS — Chair Lancaster called for new or unfinished business <br /> and no one responded. <br /> 16 <br />
