HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING DECEMBER 11, 2018 <br /> 9: 05 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, <br /> Pamela Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, and Jane Richardson and Steve <br /> Schuppan. Also present was County Treasurer Alain Verplank. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Richardson read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION — The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES —Lanfear made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> November 27, 2018 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 2. COUNTY TREASURER DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION FOR VOICE FOR <br /> COMPANION ANIMALS - The address listed is PO box 5256, Grand Island, NE 68802. <br /> County Treasurer Alain Verplank presented the exemption application for a 2008 Ford <br /> van to be used to deliver pet food and supplies to seniors and veterans and pick up <br /> donated pet food and supplies and transport animals. <br /> B) DISCUSS AND APPROVE EXEMPTION FOR MID NEBRASKA INDIVIDUAL <br /> SERVICES - the address listed is 2536 Carleton Ave., Grand Island, Nebraska this is <br /> for a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan to be used to provide services for individuals in their <br /> program, transportation for medical needs miscellaneous shopping and meals to and <br /> from work, education and recreation needs. <br /> She has approved these exemption applications as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 <br /> and is requesting a motion from the board to approve. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the exemption applications <br /> for Voice for Companion Animals and Mid Nebraska individual services. Arnold, <br /> Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Alaina reported that since they changed to Five Points Bank it is necessary to approve <br /> the pledged collateral resolutions monthly but the amount of the deposits at the bank <br /> the county received over $9,000.00 in interest. <br /> 4.
