SAMARITAN SOCIETY, GRAND ISLAND VILLAGE FOR A 2002 CHEVROLET <br /> PICKUP — County Treasurer Peg Pesek presented the exemption application from <br /> Good Samaritan Society for a 2002 Chevrolet pickup to be used for maintenance <br /> around the facility picking up and hauling tools supplies parts equipment snow removal <br /> landscaping etc. She has approved this exemption application as per Nebraska State <br /> statute 77-202 and is requesting a motion from the county board to approve. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the exemption <br /> application for Good Samaritan Society, Grand Island. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried <br /> 6. EXECUTIVE SESSION — PENDING LITIGATION —Arnold made a motion and <br /> Bredthauer seconded to go into executive session. This executive session is to protect <br /> the public interest. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 9:11 a.m. Executive session <br /> 9:25 a.m. Richardson made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go out of executive <br /> session. Lancaster stated that no other subjects were discussed, no votes were taken <br /> and no action was taken. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 7. DISCUSSION & ACTION ON RETENTION OF COUNSEL FOR WHOOPING <br /> CRANE MAINTENANCE TRUST APPEAL— County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf stated that <br /> Whooping Crane Trust has appealed these TERC cases and it would make sense to <br /> retain the same attorney to represent the county for this appeal. He is requesting a <br /> motion to retain Mr. Tim Moul. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Schuppan seconded to retain Mr. Tim Moul to represent Hall <br /> County for the appeals for Whooping Crane Trust. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried <br /> 8. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ON SETTLEMENT OF CONESTOGA MALL TERC <br /> APPEAL. MR. Zitterkopf requested to pull this item until Ms. Pelland is present.
