HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING APRIL 18, 2017 <br /> 9:10 a.m. Arnold made a motion and Richardson seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, <br /> Pamela Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve <br /> Schuppan. Also present were County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, Deputy County <br /> Assessor Barb Stoddard, County Treasurer Peg Pesek and Board Assistant Stacey <br /> Ruzicka. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION — The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES — Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> April 4, 2017 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no <br /> one responded. <br /> 4. COUNTY ASSESSOR DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR <br /> FRIENDSHIP HOUSE, INC FOR 707 WEST FIRST STREET, RAILROAD ADDITION, <br /> BLOCK 106 1 & 2 HALL COUNTY —This is for Friendship House Inc, 406 West Koenig <br /> for property at 707 West First Street, Grand Island, Railroad Addition , Block 106, 1 & 2 <br /> Hall County. It is to be used for non-for-profit organization to provide outpatient <br /> counseling services for English and Spanish speaking individuals in Grand Island and <br /> surrounding communities. County Assessor Jan Pelland has approved this application <br /> as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the exemption application <br /> for Friendship House, Inc. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 5. COUNTY ASSESSOR TAX CORRECTION NOTICES Ms. Stoddard presented tax <br /> correction notice s #5185 to #5209 requesting the board to accept and authorize the <br /> chair to initial. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Richardson seconded to accept and authorize the chair to <br /> initial tax correction notices #5185 to #5209. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 3. COUNTY TREASURER — DISCUSS AND APPROVE EXEMPTION FOR GOOD <br />
