HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING SEPTEMBER 20, 2016 <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Pam Lancaster, Doug Lanfear, Dan <br /> Purdy, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chairman Arnold read the notice of open meeting <br /> law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —Affidavit on file. <br /> Purdy made a motion and Lancaster seconded to place on file the minutes of the <br /> September 6, 2016. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 3. COUNTY TREASURER —A) DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION <br /> FOR HEARTLAND UNITED WAY, INC. — County Treasurer Peg Pesek presented the <br /> following exemption applications. <br /> A) Heartland United Way Inc., 1414 N Webb Road, Grand Island, NE for a 2014 <br /> Haulmark trailer to be used for United Way programs fundraisers and events. Several <br /> programs involve hauling toys, food and household furniture. <br /> B) DISCUSS &APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR MID NEBRASKA <br /> INDIVIDUAL SERVICES - Mid Nebraska Individual Services, 2536 Carleton <br /> Avenue, Grand Island for a 2015 Chrysler sport van to be used to transport <br /> developmentally disabled individuals and provide services for employment. <br /> C) DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION GRAND ISLAND CENTRAL <br /> CATHOLIC SCHOOL -Grand Island Central Catholic School, 1200 Ruby Avenue, <br /> Grand Island, for a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban to be used for transporting student to <br /> school activities. <br /> County Treasurer Peg Pesek approved these exemption applications as per Nebraska <br /> State Statute 77-202 and is asking for a motion from the County Board to approve. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the exemption application <br /> for Heartland United Way, Mid Nebraska Individual Services and Grand Island Central <br /> Catholic. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
