HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING MARCH 22, 2016 <br /> 9:10 a.m. Purdy made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> ROLL CALL- Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Pam Lancaster, Doug Lanfear, Dan Purdy, <br /> Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. . <br /> CALL TO ORDER— Chairman Arnold called the Board of Equalization meeting to order. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chairman Arnold read the notice of open meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION -Affidavit of publication of publication for the meeting <br /> on file. <br /> MINUTES — Purdy made a motion and Schuppan seconded to place on file the minutes of the <br /> March 8, 2016 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 3 COUNTY ASSESSOR- 9:10 A.M. HEARING ON PERMISSIVE EXEMPTIONS <br /> VERIFIED AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION—Affidavit on file. <br /> Purdy made a motion and Richardson seconded to open the public hearing on permissive <br /> exemptions. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> County Assessor Jan Pelland distributed the list of the exemptions. This is the annual renewal <br /> and in a year that is divisible by 4 everyone has to submit a new application. The list includes <br /> real estate and personal property and the cemetery associations; they only have to apply one <br /> time. <br /> She also noted the following new applications: <br /> Heartland Health Center personal property <br /> The Buddhist Association of Nebraska parcels 400089580 & 400123355 <br /> She noted the exemption applications for CHI Health/St Francis are rental properties and she <br /> recommended denying the exemption applications on the following: <br /> 400089580 400123355 400475251 400036177 <br /> 400355116 400402041 400402033 400355493 <br /> 400325667 400136902 400136899 400418835 <br /> 40003612 400036126 400036134 400036118 <br /> She also requested that the exemption applications for Platte Valley Whooping Crane <br /> Maintenance Trust that are on the list be held for review. <br /> She recommended renewal of Platte River Whooping Crane Maintenance Trust on parcel# <br /> 400218917 <br /> 1 <br />
