HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING FEBRUARY 24, 2015 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Purdy made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, <br /> Douglas Lanfear, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. <br /> Also present were County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka and <br /> County Assessor Jan Pelland. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Arnold read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> MINUTES — Purdy made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the minutes of <br /> the February 10, 2015 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> COUNTY ASSESSOR — RECEIVE AND APPROVE 2015 RENEWAL OF PERMISSIVE <br /> EXEMPTION APPLICATIONS FOR REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY AND NEW <br /> APPLICATIONS FOR REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY— County Assessor Jan <br /> Pelland distributed the list of the real and personal property exemptions. These are the <br /> continued use exemption and there is no board action required and she has signed <br /> them. There are a total of 138 exemptions. <br /> There are 3 new applications Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity 502 West 2nd <br /> Street for Misc. Tracts 10-11-9 PT NE 1/4 SW '/4 this was made into 7 different parcels <br /> and she has recommended approval <br /> Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity 502 West 2nd Street for Original Town Blk 62 <br /> Lot 7 & 8 office building office furniture and equipment tables and chairs, visual <br /> equipment and office supplies and she has recommended approval. <br /> St Francis Medical Center 2620 W Faidley Avenue, Grand Island for 815, 817, 819 821 <br /> and 823 Orleans Drive. Some apartments were torn down and the garages remain and <br /> are being used for storage. They are requesting exemptions on these. She has <br /> recommend approval under Nebraska State Statute 77-202. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the new exemption <br /> applications. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> The International Church of the Four Square Gospel 524 West 4th did not return the <br /> application they mailed the form to them and mailed a reminder and attempted to call <br />
