HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING FEBRUARY 10, 2015 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Purdy made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, <br /> Douglas Lanfear, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. <br /> Also present were County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka and <br /> County Treasurer Peg Pesek and County Assessor Jan Pelland. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Arnold read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> MINUTES — Purdy made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> January 27, 2015 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 1. COUNTY TREASURER -APPROVE NEW EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR MID <br /> NEBRASKA INDIVIDUAL SERVICES — County Treasurer Peg Pesek presented the <br /> following exemption applications. Mid Nebraska Individual Services, 2536 Carleton, <br /> Grand Island, for a 2013 Dodge sport van to be used to transport developmentally <br /> disabled individuals and provide services for employment. <br /> 2. EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR MID NEBRASKA INDIVIDUAL SERVICES this is <br /> an application for Mid Nebraska Individual Services, 2536 Carleton, Grand Island, for a <br /> 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan to be used to transport developmentally disabled <br /> individuals and provide services for employment. <br /> 3. EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF GREATER <br /> NEBRASKA - This i for Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, 1804 South Eddy for <br /> a 2009 Chevrolet Impala to be used for picking up and taking home clients or support of <br /> clients activities and training. <br /> She has approved these exemption applications as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 <br /> and is requesting that the board approve them. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the exemption <br /> application for Mid Nebraska Individual services for the 2013 Dodge sport van and the <br /> 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan and the exemption for Goodwill Industries for the 2009 <br /> Chevrolet. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 4. COUNTY ASSESSOR - HEARING REGARDING REJECTION OF HOMESTEAD <br /> EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR EVELYN LAYHER — County Assessor Jan Pelland <br />
