2. DISCUSS AND APPROVE RESOLUTION TO APPOINT REFEREES FOR 2014 — <br /> County Assessor Jan Pelland presented the resolution appointing the referees for 2014 <br /> for the board's consideration. It is the same as last year. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Ziola seconded to approve Resolution #13-006 <br /> appointing the referees for the 2014 tax assessment year. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 3. DISCUSS AND APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR REFEREE SERVICES FOR 2014 <br /> AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN — Lancaster questioned if the service had changed <br /> and the rates. Pelland stated that the agreement with Standard Appraisal Services is <br /> the same and the amount cannot exceed $33,500.00 unless it is approved by the <br /> County Board. This provides the informal hearings for the public and information <br /> through the formal hearings. Lancaster stated that this provides a good service for the <br /> public. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the agreement for the <br /> referee services with Standard Appraisal. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, <br /> Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 4. SET DATES AND TIME FOR THE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION HEARINGS — Ms. <br /> Pelland stated that she has blocked 3 weeks for the informal referee hearing for the <br /> following: <br /> June 16 to June 20th <br /> June 23 to June 27 <br /> June 30 to July 3 <br /> Discussion was held on the formal board of Equalization hearings and the following <br /> dates were set: <br /> July 15 3:00 pm. to 7:00 p.m. <br /> July 16 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. <br /> July 17 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. <br /> The final action for the protests will need to be a separate meeting. It was set for July <br /> 23, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Ziola seconded to set the informal hearings formal <br /> hearings and final action as stated. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 5. TAX CORRECTION NOTICES - County Assessor Jan Pelland presented tax <br /> correction notice #4726 to #4736 requesting the board to receive and authorize the <br /> Chair to initial. <br />
