HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING MARCH 25, 2014 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, <br /> Bob McFarland, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. Also <br /> present were Deputy County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka, <br /> County Assessor Jan Pelland and County Treasurer Peg Pesek. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman McFarland read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> MINUTES — Ziola made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the minutes of <br /> the February 25th meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan <br /> and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman McFarland called for public participation and no <br /> one responded. <br /> 6.COUNTY TREASURER — DISCUSS AND APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION <br /> FOR GOOD SAMARITAN SOCIETY WOOD RIVER FOR A 2014 DODGE-BRAUN <br /> WAGON - County Treasurer Peg Pesek presented the exemption application for Good <br /> Samaritan Society Wood River for a 2014 Dodge-Braun wagon to be used to transport <br /> residents to medical appointments to and from hospital stays and recreational trips. <br /> She has approved this exemption application as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and <br /> is requesting the County Board of Equalization to approve. <br /> Ziola made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the exemption application for <br /> Good Samaritan Village Wood River. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 1. COUNTY ASSESSOR - EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR CHURCH OF THE <br /> NAZARENE 1124 NORTH BROADWELL - County Assessor Jan Pelland presented <br /> the exemption application for Church of the Nazarene, 1124 North Broadwell, Grand <br /> Island for the property located at that address. This is used for Sunday school, christian <br /> education and worship. She has approved this exemption as per Nebraska State <br /> Statute 77-202 and is requesting the board's approval. She stated that they did not <br /> receive the exemption last year due to a change in the administration so they have <br /> applied this year. <br /> Ziola made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the exemption application for <br /> Church of the Nazarene. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and <br /> Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
