Supervisor Quandt suggested we look into the cost of removing & replacing sidewalk to
eliminate the drop off outside the private entrance on the east side of the building.
Supervisor Quandt also noticed a roof drain from the building that drains into a pipe that goes under
the sidewalk. The pipe under the sidewalk was overlooked during design and also overlooked white
setting up the construction elevations for the parking lot. The outlet for the outlet pipe under the
existing sidewalk is below the surface of the new concrete parking lot and no longer functional.
Removing and replacing the sidewalk will eliminate the drop off. Removing some sidewalk will also
provide room for a steel box to be placed under the concrete sidewalk to carry the water from the roof
drain under the sidewalk. We looked into underground pipe to the gutter along Court Street, but the
length of pipe is much longer than taking the roof drain water east to the new parking lot.
Recommendation
Discuss and approve change order number 3.
Clk#
C:). e—gat.
Steven P.
