When the children <br /> are trying to go to Lincoln School they have to jump the tracks or go under the trains in order to <br /> get to school. There have been times when the trains have all of the crossing blocked to <br /> Capital Avenue. What if there was an emergency how would the fire and ambulance get <br /> through? It is harvest time and the trains are long but this needs to be addressed. <br /> Lancaster noted that it is a serious safety hazard when the kids have to jump the tracks. There <br /> is a law in place to prevent these issues. <br /> Quandt stated that he called Mile Paulick and suggested setting up a meeting with the police <br /> and Sheriff to find a solution. <br /> Richardson noted that there should be maximum amounts of time they can block the tracks they <br /> need to leave something open. Bredthauer also noted that this is a central line coming into <br /> Grand Island. <br /> Arnold suggested making a phone call to them this is a serious safety issue and a liability. <br /> 4. COUNTY ATTORNEY— A) DISCUSSION REGARDING THE 2019-2020 COMMUNITY <br /> BASED JUVENILE SERVICES AID GRANT— County Attorney Sarah Carstensen and Juvenile <br /> Services Director Randy See were present this is for the 2019 —2020 Juvenile Services Aid <br /> Grant.
