Mr. <br /> Humphrey stated he would respond and have County Attorney Sarah Carstensen review the <br /> letter. <br /> Discussion was held and they will proceed the way they have been doing in the past. <br /> Arnold stated the county needs to have a hard number on the exact amount of space we are to <br /> provide. <br /> Quandt ask if this was a concrete ramp with metal railings and Mr. Humphrey stated that it is. <br /> He also ask about how much it would be to change the restrooms and Mr. Humphrey stated that <br /> it was between 3 and 5 thousand dollars to change the restroom in this building to make it <br /> compatible. <br /> Chair Richardson thanked him for the information. <br /> FACILITIES UPDATE — Mr. Humphrey stated that there was a leak at the Federal Building and <br /> also the Plaza Building and a leak in the window in Sarah's office. They are addressing those <br /> repairs. <br /> Mid Continent Restoration will start working on the Courthouse and also Mid Plains is working <br /> on the restoration of the balcony doors. They are building a frame for the door and will make <br /> the repairs all at once. They are also starting on the windows and have contacted Allied <br /> Windows for the replacements. <br /> TRAINING — Mr. Humphrey stated that there will be active shooter training for county <br /> employees on Thursday October 18 from 9 to 11 and 1 to 4. This was opened up to all county <br /> employees. <br /> 17 REVIEW AND APPROVE CLAIMS FOR BUILDING & LAND IMPROVEMENT RESERVE or <br /> EQUIPMENT IMPROVEMENT RESERVE FUND— County Clerk Marla Conley provided a list of <br /> the claims for the board to review. Since the audit committee was eliminated the full board will <br /> be able to review the claims and approve them. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the claims for Building and Land and <br /> Equipment Improvement Reserve. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS —Lancaster attended the Nebraska <br /> Employee Retirement Board meeting and the last 2 years they have distributed dividends. She <br /> also stated that she attended a rally in Council Bluffs that the President attended this was an <br /> excellent experience. Our Governor should be proud. <br /> Richardson noted that Todd Bahensky was recognized at the NIRMA Conference with a safety <br /> award <br /> Mr. Quandt stated that the public defender contacted him about union negotiations. <br /> 9 <br />
