Sarah stated that the ADA issues are part of the maintenance of a building and it makes sense <br /> to do that but did not know if they could make Hall County pay. We need to be careful how it is <br /> approached. She noted the 1982 legislative bill. <br /> Lancaster expressed concern about the phone call; there is a list of things to be addressed. We <br /> just received the study and need to come up with the cost. ADA is not a grandfather status but <br /> we need time to get the number together for the renovations or alternate space. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that the ramp could be the most expensive items and the majority of the <br /> other issues could be done in house. The remodeled restroom is ADA assessable. <br /> Bredthauer ask how fact they could put in a ramp and the cost. Mr. Humphrey stated it could be <br /> $40,000 or$50,000. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Lanfear seconded to move forward on the cost of the renovations <br /> at DHHS and this will be discussed in two weeks. Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Arnold was absent. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 17. APPROVE BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS & REGULAR CLAIMS— Quandt questioned the claim <br /> that was paid for the expenses to Washington DC that Ms. Richardson submitted. Discussion <br /> was held and in the past each supervisor had an amount to spend for travel expenses. It is up <br /> to each supervisor what they use it for. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the bi weekly pay claims and the <br /> regular claims. Bredthauer, Lancaster Lanfear and Quandt voted yes and Richardson and <br /> Schuppan voted no. Motion carried. Arnold was absent. <br /> COMMITTEE OF BROAD MEMBER REPORTS — Richardson stated the libray committee met <br /> regarding the contract and it will stay the same. <br /> Lanfear noted that the law enforcement contracts will be back and on the next agenda. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS — Chari Richardson called for new or unfinished business. <br /> Quandt quested if they could set a time to address the letter from the veteran's service office. It <br /> will be on the next agenda. <br /> 14. EXECUTIVE SESSION PERSONNEL - Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to <br /> go into executive session. There are two reasons for an executive session to protect the public <br /> interest or to prevent needless harm or injury to an individual. Bredthauer, Lancaster Lanfear <br /> and Quandt voted yes and Richardson and Schuppan voted no, Motion carried. Arnold was <br /> absent. <br /> 12:28 p.m. executive session <br /> 12:59 p.m. Lanfear made a motion and Quandt seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Richardson stated that no other subjects were discussed, no votes were taken and no action <br /> was taken.
