Sarah stated that the ADA issues are part of the maintenance of a building and it makes sense to do that but did not know if they could make Hall County pay. We need to be careful how it is approached. She noted the 1982 legislative bill. Lancaster expressed concern about the phone call; there is a list of things to be addressed. We just received the study and need to come up with the cost. ADA is not a grandfather status but we need time to get the number together for the renovations or alternate space. Mr. Humphrey stated that the ramp could be the most expensive items and the majority of the other issues could be done in house. The remodeled restroom is ADA assessable. Bredthauer ask how fact they could put in a ramp and the cost. Mr. Humphrey stated it could be $40,000 or$50,000. Schuppan made a motion and Lanfear seconded to move forward on the cost of the renovations at DHHS and this will be discussed in two weeks. Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Arnold was absent. Motion carried. 17. APPROVE BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS & REGULAR CLAIMS— Quandt questioned the claim that was paid for the expenses to Washington DC that Ms. Richardson submitted. Discussion was held and in the past each supervisor had an amount to spend for travel expenses. It is up to each supervisor what they use it for. Lanfear made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the bi weekly pay claims and the regular claims. Bredthauer, Lancaster Lanfear and Quandt voted yes and Richardson and Schuppan voted no. Motion carried. Arnold was absent. COMMITTEE OF BROAD MEMBER REPORTS — Richardson stated the libray committee met regarding the contract and it will stay the same. Lanfear noted that the law enforcement contracts will be back and on the next agenda. NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS — Chari Richardson called for new or unfinished business. Quandt quested if they could set a time to address the letter from the veteran's service office. It will be on the next agenda. 14. EXECUTIVE SESSION PERSONNEL - Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go into executive session. There are two reasons for an executive session to protect the public interest or to prevent needless harm or injury to an individual. Bredthauer, Lancaster Lanfear and Quandt voted yes and Richardson and Schuppan voted no, Motion carried. Arnold was absent. 12:28 p.m. executive session 12:59 p.m. Lanfear made a motion and Quandt seconded to go out of executive session. Richardson stated that no other subjects were discussed, no votes were taken and no action was taken. Bredthauer, Lancaster Lanfear and Quandt voted yes and Richardson and Schuppan voted no.
