The committees which I feel should be eliminated are: Ambulance Agreement, Audit, Building Inspector, Computer,Conditional Use/Zoning, Corrections Steering, Facilities, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Co-Location, Elections, Employee Recognition, Health & Human Services, Juvenal/Paternity Cases/Public Defender, Personnel, Public Works,Safety, Superintendent Contract, Inter-local Law Enforcement, Problem Resolution Team, Legislative. The committees we list as AREA, REGIONAL, STATE, would remain along with:Casa,College Park Board, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Grievance, Hall County Extension,Transit Program, Health Insurance, Merit Comission, Senior Citizens Council, Stuhr Museum Board, Veterans Service Monitor, Visitors Promotion, Weed Control Board, Union Negotiations. As far as the elected officials and department heads we can; Give them permission to add items to the agenda. Have them contact a supervisor and the supervisor put the item on the agenda. Have them contact the chairman or vice chair to get an item put on the agenda. I think the elected officials and department heads will need to be instructed contact a supervisor or board chair no later than the Thursday before a board meeting so that Marla can get the item on the agenda. None of this is "set in stone" so please, contact me with your thoughts. I am flexible on all this and my feelings will not be hurt by criticism. Doug Lanfear i
