Marta Conley 00 m , <br /> k4 eo s 4 l . <br /> From: Prairie Iris <praririeiris @earthlink.net> <br /> Sent: Tuesday, August 14, 2018 6:52 PM <br /> To: Bonnie Kosmicki; Gary Quandt (District 6 Supervisor);janejeff @charter.net; Karen Bredthauer <br /> (District 2 Supervisor); Loren Humphrey; Marla Conley; Pam Caldwell; Scott Arnold (District 7 <br /> Supervisor); Stephen Schuppan (District 3 Supervisor) <br /> Subject: Committees <br /> Hello All, <br /> I wanted to let you know what I am thinking of proposing at the next board meeting as to the elimination of committees. <br /> The committees which I feel should be eliminated are: <br /> Ambulance Agreement, Audit, Building Inspector, Computer,Conditional Use/Zoning, Corrections Steering, Facilities, <br /> Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Co-Location, Elections, Employee Recognition, Health & Human Services, <br /> Juvenal/Paternity Cases/Public Defender, Personnel, Public Works,Safety, Superintendent Contract, Inter-local Law <br /> Enforcement, Problem Resolution Team, Legislative. <br /> The committees we list as AREA, REGIONAL, STATE, would remain along with:Casa,College Park Board, Federal <br /> Emergency Management Agency, Grievance, Hall County Extension,Transit Program, Health Insurance, Merit Comission, <br /> Senior Citizens Council, Stuhr Museum Board, Veterans Service Monitor, Visitors Promotion, Weed Control Board, Union <br /> Negotiations. <br /> As far as the elected officials and department heads we can; <br /> Give them permission to add items to the agenda. <br /> Have them contact a supervisor and the supervisor <br /> put the item on the agenda. <br /> Have them contact the chairman or vice chair to get <br /> an item put on the agenda. <br /> I think the elected officials and department heads will need to be instructed contact a supervisor or board chair no later <br /> than the Thursday before a board meeting so that Marla can get the item on the agenda. <br /> None of this is "set in stone" so please, contact me with your thoughts.
