RESOLUTION# 18- 6 ` � <br /> RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MATTER OF THE <br /> PROPOSED VACATION OF A PORTION OF PLATTE STREET WEST OF US <br /> HIGHWAY 34/281 <br /> WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors directed the County Highway Superintendent <br /> to study the use being made of the public road named as Platte Street west of US Highway 34/281 <br /> in Hall County,Nebraska more particularly described as: <br /> A portion of Platte Street located in Nebmo Subdivision,a platted and recorded subdivision in part <br /> of the east half of Section 24, Township 10 North, Range 10 West of the sixth principal meridian, Hall <br /> County,Nebraska,and more particularly described as follows: <br /> Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 1 of said Nebmo Subdivision: thence N88°49'24"E on <br /> the north right-of-way line of Platte Street, 119.50 feet: thence S01°10'36"E, 60.00 feet to a point on the <br /> south right-of-way line of Platte Street;thence S88°49'24"W on said south right-of-way line, 119.45 feet to <br /> the west right-of-way line of Platte Street: thence N01°13'18"W on said west right-of-way line of Platte <br /> Street, 60.00 feet to the point of beginning, said tract containing 7,168 square feet (0.165 acres), more or <br /> less. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to such direction, the Hall County Highway Superintendent made a study <br /> of the uses of such road and submitted a report to the Hall County Board of Supervisors, finding <br /> and recommending that the western portion of Platte Street be vacated; and <br /> THEREFORE, the Hall County Board of Supervisors acting in accordance with Neb. Rev. Stat. § <br /> 39-1724 is setting a public hearing to consider vacation of a portion of Platte Street for May 29, <br /> 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the county board room at 121 South Pine Street in Grand Island,Nebraska. <br /> The Hall County Board of Supervisors further directs that the Hall County Clerk publish this <br /> resolution once a week for three consecutive weeks in the Grand Island Independent, a legal <br /> newspaper published in the county, and shall cause copies of same to be served by registered or <br /> certified mail upon the owners of land abutting on or adjacent to the road to be vacated or <br /> abandoned and upon the planning or public works directors of the City of Grand Island,Nebraska <br /> not less than 2 weeks in advance of the hearing. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
