Motion carried <br /> 9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:10 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> 9 DISCUSSION AND ACTION REGARDING MIA POW FLAGS ON COUNTY PROPERTY- <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to fly the POW MIA flag anywhere a United <br /> States Flag is flown on County Property. <br /> David Jensen was present and stated that there are still 13 service men missing in action one <br /> more was just recently returned. He read Section 1082 regarding the POW MIA flags. <br /> He presented a POW MIA Flag to Pam Lancaster <br /> The vote on the motion to fly the POW MIA flag was taken. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 8b DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ELECTRICAL REPAIRS AT THE PARKS <br /> BUILDING — Mr. Humphrey was present and noted the issue with the electrical service at the <br /> park. It was fixed temporarily but it needs to be repaired correctly. Discussion was held <br /> regarding the single phase or 3-phase service to the shop. <br /> Arnold stated that the committee did not see an advantage for the 3 phase. Unless there will be <br /> bigger power tools that will be used the current type of service should handle the welder and <br /> other power equipment that they have. <br /> Quandt questioned where the power or the camping pads comes from and noted that most <br /> shops run 3 phase service. He stated that he is looking at the future use and if it would be <br /> better to run the 3 phase instead of the single phase. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that the temporary repairs need to be changed and there was discussion <br /> regarding the size of the conduit but they felt the single phase would be sufficient. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Lanfear seconded to use the single phase conduit for the repairs to <br /> the park electrical service. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 10. PUBLIC WORKS —A) RECEIVE REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION FROM COUNTY <br /> HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT REGARDING THE USE OF PLATTE STREET WEST OF US <br /> HIGHWAY 34/281 - Steve Riehle was present and stated that he completed the study and <br /> submitted his report to the board. This is the first step in the process and now setting the <br /> resolution for public hearing is the next step. <br /> 2 <br />
