Quandt stated that on March 8
he was contacted about have a POW MIA flag up at the Administration Building and on March
29th it was taken to the committee and there was nothing on the agenda and Mr. Shuda let him
know it was not up. Mr. Quandt read the minutes of the facilities committee and noted that it
was decided to not have the POW MIA flag at the Administration Building. Quandt questioned
why they were not recognizing veterans they owe them an apology and they did not have the
authority to do this. A committee cannot take action they can make recommendations.
Arnold stated these are harsh words and expressed concern on the wording in the email. They
did not make a recommendation on the flag or take action. There is a flag up now.
5
