OFFICE REPORT <br /> HALL COUNTY BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br /> MARCH 2018 <br /> BUILDING PERMITS $ 4,475.24 <br /> REGISTRATIONS 550.00 <br /> TOTAL FOR MONTH 4,655.94 <br /> YEAR TO DATE TOTAL 5,025.24 <br /> County Attorney Sarah Carstensen will be at the meeting later. <br /> 9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting. <br /> 9:07 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to regular session <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Lancaster asked Gary Quandt to come forward and presented him <br /> with a sack of healthy snacks and wished him happy birthday. <br /> 5 D APPROVE PURCHASE OF PICKUP -County Highway Superintendent Steve Riehle <br /> stated that the pickup was involved in an accident on Easter Sunday and NIRMA totaled the <br /> vehicle. They are sending a check for the total loss claim for$26,012.50 and the pickup will be <br /> sold for salvage. The pickup was a 2 door and he is recommending buying an extended cab <br /> and purchasing it from the state bid. It will be a 2018 or a 2019 Ford F250 extended cab. He is <br /> looking at an extended cab instead of a 2 Door so other employees can ride. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Lanfear seconded to authorize the purchase of the 2018 4/Dr F250 <br /> Pickup for the Road Department. <br /> Bredthauer noted that is was quoted at $30,204 but now it is $34,216.00 Mr. Riehle stated that <br /> they need to add some extra options like rubberizing the box, electric 4/wheel drive shift, remote <br /> shift and a up fitter switch to operate the lights. The information was on page 24 of the bid <br /> packet. He stated that they have an additional $16,000.00 in the equipment budget for the <br /> difference and the check from NIRMA. <br /> Lancaster stated she appreciated the explanation on the options. <br /> The vote on the motion was taken. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 7. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE THE UNION CONTRACT WITH HALL <br /> COUNTY SHERIFF'S SERGEANTS' ASSOCIATION — Schuppan stated that they will not need <br /> to address this because they did not receive a copy of the union agreement but the board can <br /> hold the executive session. <br /> 10. DISCUSS &APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF KENO ADMINISTRATOR AND AUTHORIZE <br /> CHAIR TO SIGN APPLICATION Richardson stated that Bonnie has been working with Stacey <br /> Ruzicka and Todd Otto regarding the keno. Stacey agreed to continue with the keno until <br /> Bonnie could receive some training. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to appoint Bonnie Kosmicki the Keno <br /> Administrator. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt and Schuppan all voted yes and <br /> 3 <br />
