Quandt seconded to open the public hearing for operating assistance. Arnold, Bredthauer, <br /> Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Steve Riehle distributed the civil rights survey forms and requested that they be returned. This <br /> is for statistical data to ensure Federal Compliance. <br /> Theresa Engelhardt and Sharon Penner with Senior Citizen Industries were present. The <br /> affidavit of public for the public hearing was received. Therese explained that this is for the <br /> 5311 funding for the rural transportation. The total request is $20,080.00 the state's share is <br /> $6,273.00 and Hall County will match at $6,113.00. <br /> Lancaster stated this is the County's responsibility for the ridership outside of the City of Grand <br /> Island as long as the county wants to provide public transportation. The county has about 5% of <br /> the total ridership. This is separate from the City. She stated that they had discussion with the <br /> City to run the programs side by side and the county would just pay a portion but there was <br /> concern that that may not continue. Theresa stated that as long as the FTA allows this they will <br /> continue. Lancaster noted that they do not know what will happen. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Schuppan seconded to close the public hearing. Arnold, <br /> Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. <br /> 5a) APPROVE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZE HALL COUNTY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO <br /> APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE--Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to <br /> approve Resolution#18-008 Authorizing Hall County Public Transportation to apply for financial <br /> assistance. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. <br /> 4 <br />
