OK Lawn Service $210.00 weekly mowing & trimming <br /> Surecut Lawn Care & Snow Removal $325.00 per mowing for 30 mowings <br /> Loran stated that he would like to continue with Brad Fenster dba Bluegrass Lawn <br /> Arnold made a motion and Quandt seconded to accept the 3 year proposal from Bluegrass <br /> Lawn and authorize the chair to sign. <br /> Lancaster questioned what the total amount would be and Humphrey stated it would be about <br /> $6,000.00. <br /> The vote on the motion was taken. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS— Richardson reminded the board of the ground breaking for <br /> the new 911 center on 13th and North Road this week. <br /> Schuppan reported that the attended the fund raiser for the fire department in Doniphan and <br /> talked to Senator Halloran regarding the exemption issue and possible legislation. There was <br /> discussion to approve a percentage instead of a total exemption. They discussed setting up a <br /> meeting. Schuppan suggested that there could be a committee nstead of coming to the entire <br /> board. That may be more productive. This issue will affect everyone and there is discussion of <br /> holding an interim study. <br /> Richardson ask Ms. Lancaster if she would be interested to be on the committee but she stated <br /> that she is working on another interim study at this time. Discussion was held and Gary and <br /> Jane will keep in touch with Steve regarding this. <br /> Arnold suggested that a legislative committee could be set up and it could be formalized at the <br /> March 20t meeting. <br /> Richardson reminded the board that the Central District Health Department joint meeting will be <br /> held Monday July 30th at 6:00 p.m. at the community room at the Safety Center. She also <br /> reported that Dan Placzek informed her that they have all of the funds for the George <br /> Washington statue and it will be completed sometime in April. <br /> Schuppan reported that the minutes of the public works committee will be available. Mr. Riehle <br /> reported that the typing receptionist will be leaving. The committee met and looked at the long <br /> term equipment purchases, received updates on the bridge projects and are working on the <br /> budget. At the February 20th meeting the interviews for the surveyor were held and Mr. Peters <br /> will be sworn in on March 12th. There was discussion on the highway department building and <br /> he is reviewing the organizational structure of the department. They will be touring the Kearney <br /> Road Department and the Ride facility. <br /> No other reports held a break until the Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> 10:30 a.m. Held a Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> 10:50 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Corrections meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> 5 <br />
