#8 Experience with a budget—he worked with a county surveyor and you had to work within the <br /> budget and he also managed Katt Surveying and had to balance the budget <br /> #9 Experience researching state statutes— He stated that that is the most important part of <br /> everything. To do a survey you have to look at the information that is there. He noted that they <br /> have scanned all of the surveys in Hamilton and Clay County <br /> #10 Goals for the department— he wants to make sure all of the departments are getting what <br /> they need out of GIS and the information is available to the Road Department, Mr. Riehle and <br /> be available to answer questions <br /> #11 Why select him — He stated he loves this work and he likes working on the Platte River <br /> when Casey left he decided then to apply for the position <br /> #12 Has he filed for the position —Scott stated that he has already filed for county surveyor <br /> #13 when would he be available to start—He stated whenever the board would need him to <br /> start but he would like to give 2 weeks' notice. <br /> #14—Anything else to share— He stated he has work with the Hamilton County Assessor and <br /> he loves this work. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION PERSONNEL - Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to go into <br /> executive session this executive session is to prevent needless harm or injury to an individual. <br /> Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 1:46 p.m. executive session <br /> 2:08 a.m. Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to go out of executive session. No <br /> other subjects were discussed no votes were taken and no action was taken. Arnold, <br /> Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING APPOINTMENT OF COUNTY <br /> SURVEYOR -Arnold stated that he appreciated that the candidates stayed and thanked them <br /> for applying for the position.
