Lancaster made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the expenditures from the visitor <br /> improvement grant funds according to the interlocal agreement. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Quandt Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10:30 A.M. Held a Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> 10:48 Recessed the Board of corrections meeting for the quarterly jail tour. <br /> b) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING THE PHONE/FIBER INSTALLATION <br /> QUOTES — Mr. Humphrey stated they installed two new conduits for the phone and fiber cables <br /> in the tunnel and moving the cables out of the old tunnel. They budgeted $7,500.00 to move the <br /> cables and they have a quote for$6,500.00 to move them. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the quote for $6,500.00 to move the <br /> cables out of the old tunnel. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> c) DISCUSSION ON PARK SHOP ELECTRICITY— Mr. Humphrey stated that New Year's Day <br /> they lost power at the park and they called the utility department and there was a fuse blown at <br /> the top of the pole. They determined that there is a dead short somewhere. The park house <br /> has power now but the shop does not. Middleton Electric ran a temporary wire off of the air <br /> conditioning but they cannot find the short and do to know what it will cost to fix it. The current <br /> wire runs through the parking lot and under the bridge. The mail power box needs to be <br /> replaced and they need to find the short. <br /> Bredthauer ask if they replace the served would it be at code and it would have to be replaced <br /> according to code. Loran stated he will keep the board posted. <br /> C UPDATE REGARDING CUSTODIAL SERVICES WITH ELITE JANITORIAL FOR PLAZA <br /> BUILDING The committee reviewed the quote from Elite Janitorial and is recommending staying <br /> with Elite until the end of the year then they will go out for bids. The total cost is only $2,800.00. <br /> It will be a smooth transition it they keep it the same. Discussion was held and he will bring <br /> back an agreement. <br /> 11. DISCUSS AND APPROVE THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN HALL COUNTY <br /> AND THE CITY OF WOOD RIVER, AND THE VILLAGES OF DONIPHAN, CAIRO, AND ALDA <br /> FOR BUILDING INSPECTOR SERVICES — Building Inspector Alan Pickerel was present. <br /> Lancaster stated that the villages are pleased with the service and there were very few <br /> concerns. This is the updated agreement. <br /> Mr. Pickerel stated that the old agreement ended in December and they changed the dates so it <br /> would follow the fiscal year. It has been approved by the other boards and the county board <br /> needs to approve the agreement. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the interlocal agreements with the <br /> City of Wood River, and the Villages of Doniphan, Cairo and Alda for the building inspector <br /> services. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt Richardson and Schuppan all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Pickerel stated that his copier is not working and they cannot replace the cartridges because <br /> it is obsolete they have a color printer on loan from the IT Department.
