discussed this and talked to Todd Otto. It will take some time to learn this and by doing this
remotely it will work well.
Arnold made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to retain Stacey Ruzicka as the keno
administrator and to work remotely for an interim period. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster,
Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried.
B) Discuss consulting/training for Executive Assistant position — Doug Drudik can provide a
computer and a program that would allow Stacey to work remotely and she would be willing to
do this until a new person is hired and trained. The committee is in agreement with this
proposal.
Arnold made a motion and Quandt seconded to allow Stacey to use her laptop that is to be
replaced and declare it of no value. She will be able to use this laptop for the remote consulting
and training. She will be paid an hourly salary for her services. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster,
Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. CAAP (CORNHUSKER ARMY AMMUNITION PLANT) PRESENTATION -
Lancaster introduced Paul Walls with Bay West, they are the prime contractor that operates the
groundwater treatment at CAAP. She noted how Chuck Carpenter discovered in the early
1980's that the water had serious issues. He went door to door to get help with the legal
expenses and when it was presented to the Army and they did not know that it was
contaminating the water. Mr. Walls is here to update the board on the process. He gave a
power point presentation. Their contract will end in December and it will be addressed by
another company. They are currently still addressing the ground contamination. Schuppan
questioned if the ag development would affect it and Mr. Walls noted that under the feed lots it
creates naturally what they are trying to inject manually and it is breaking down the
contaminants. There are a lot of people involved in the project. Lancaster thanked him for the
update.
8 FACILITIES AGENDA— ( Richardson)
A) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING HE CONTACT FOR WATER
TREATMENT HEATING & COOLING AT THE FEDERAL BUILDING -.
