RESOLUTION#17- d LA <br /> A RESOLUTION REPEALING HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br /> RESOLUTION#16-060 AND APPOINTING A NEW HALL COUNTY HIGHWAY <br /> SUPERINTENDENT AND FIXING A SALARY THEREFORE <br /> WHERE A S, NEB.REV.STAT. §39-1501 provides that county boards in township-type <br /> counties having adopted a county road unit system shall appoint and fix the salary of a county <br /> highway superintendent when said county has,per the most recent official United States census, a <br /> population of less than one hundred thousand inhabitants and more than eighteen thousand <br /> inhabitants; and <br /> WHEREAS,the County of Hall,Nebraska, is such a county; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hall,Nebraska, has previously appointed and fixed the salary <br /> for a county highway superintendent in Hall County Board of Supervisors Resolution #16-060; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hall,Nebraska, now wishes to appoint a new county highway <br /> superintendent and fix the salary for that position. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. That the County Board of Supervisors of Hall County, Nebraska, hereby repeals <br /> its Resolution#16-060 in its entirety, effective January 1,2018; <br /> 2. That the County Board of Supervisors of Hall County, Nebraska, hereby appoints <br /> Steve Riehle to be the Hall County Highway Superintendent and hereby fixes the annual salary for <br /> said position at$14,745.12 per year, effective January 1, 2018,with a 2%cola each calendar year <br /> thereafter until a new salary resolution is approved.
