No <br /> other subjects were discussed no votes were taken and no action was taken. Motion carried. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the settlement agreement <br /> between Hall County Sheriff, County of Hall, the Hall County Board of Supervisors and the <br /> Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #10. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10 DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING VACANCY OF EXECUTIVE <br /> ASSISTANT TO THE HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS -The personnel committee <br /> met with Stacey and made a list of the financial responsibilities and the administrative <br /> responsibilities. They reviewed the job description and made a few changes. During the interim <br /> the county clerk will take care of the board meeting agenda's and packets, serve as interim <br /> NIRMA contact person, prepare monthly claims and check the mail. Lancaster stated they also <br /> contracted the public works department regarding the drug testing and they will take that over <br /> permanently because they are already involved in the process <br /> The advertisement for the job opening for the Executive Assistant to the County Board will be in <br /> the Grand Island Independent December 3, 6 and 10, 2017 it will be on the NACO website and <br /> also on Workforce Development. They looked at an accounting resource but it would not be <br /> advertised until after the applications were due. The will receive the applications until <br /> December 27, 2017 and they will be available to all of the supervisors to review. The committee <br /> will review and bring 3 to 5 applications forward by January 2, 2018 and the interviews will be <br /> conducted January 9, 2018 after the regular meeting. <br /> Lancaster expressed concern on the keno administrator because there will not be anyone <br /> responsible this will go back to the personnel committee for a recommendation. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the time line and for advertising for the <br /> County Board's executive assistant and for receiving applications for the committee to review <br /> and bring forward to the board for interviews. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 11 DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON THE REPLACEMENT OF THE HALL COUNTY <br /> SURVEYOR/HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT POSITION - Schuppan stated the committee <br /> met last Tuesday and there is also a new state statute addressing the highway superintendent <br /> and the elected county surveyor. There was discussion to appoint Steve Riehle as the highway <br /> superintendent and pay him the addition $15,000.00 but he would not be the surveyor. Casey <br /> also oversees the GIS Department. Discussion was held that the surveyor could serve as the <br /> deputy. <br /> Lancaster noted that Casey knows most of the surveyors in the state and the highway <br /> superintendent and the surveyor positions are not a good fit. The Highway superintendent is a <br /> better match with the engineer. <br /> 7 <br />
