OFFICE REPORT <br /> HALL COUNTY BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br /> SEPTEMBER 2017 <br /> BUILDING PERMITS $ 4,042.50 <br /> REGISTRATIONS $ 50.00 <br /> TOTAL FOR MONTH $ 4,092.50 <br /> YEAR TO DATE TOTAL $ 140,460.74 <br /> 9:10 Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:17 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION —Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 4. COUNTY ATTORNEY— EXECUTIVE SESSION PERSONNEL - Lanfear made a motion and <br /> Arnold seconded to go into executive session regarding personnel. There are 2 reasons for an <br /> executive session to protect the public interest or to prevent needless harm to an individual. Mr. <br /> Zitterkopf requested that Chief Deputy Sarah Carstensen also be included. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Quandt and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Bredthauer and Richardson <br /> were absent. Motion carried <br /> 9:19 a.m. executive session <br /> 10:20 Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to go out of executive session. No other <br /> subjects were discussed no votes were taken and no action was taken. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Quandt and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Bredthauer and Richardson <br /> were absent. Motion carried <br /> There is no action to be taken. <br /> 9. DISCUSS AND APPROVE TRAINING SALARY FOR ELECTION COMMISSIONER - Dale <br /> Baker was present and she has been working with Tracey Overstreet regarding the training <br /> period and the hours that she will be able to work. Tracy stated that she has some issues that <br /> she wants to finish up at Regional Planning. <br /> There had been discussion regarding the salary and Tracy would receive 80% of the proposed <br /> salary until the First of January when she takes over. That would be $28.91 an hour starting on <br /> November 2 until December 15th she will work 30 hours a week. Dale stated that the 30 hours a <br /> week will be fine for now and after December 15 she would work the 37 1/2 hours at the training <br /> wage and start full time in January. Denise will be leaving December 1st. Dale will move to part <br /> time status January 1st. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the training salary for the election <br /> commissioner at 80% of the salary or$28.91 an hour. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Bredthauer and Richardson were absent. Motion <br /> carried <br /> 3 <br />
