Schuppan made a motion and Quandt seconded to accept the bids and refer them to the public <br /> works department and come back in 2 week with a recommendation. Arnold, Bredthauer, <br /> Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 11e) UPDATE ON VETERAN'S PARK-- Loran stated that they are working on leveling the land <br /> to provide better drainage they have a plan in place and will use some of the labor from the park <br /> to plant the trees. He has been trying to contact some boy scouts but they would have to pre <br /> drill the holes. Discussion was held and Loran will check with the Road Department to see if <br /> they have auger then set a date to plant the trees. <br /> 11 F)DISCUSSION ON PRIORITIZING OF PROJECTS — Richardson stated that the committee <br /> has discussed having a special meeting to discuss the process they would like to use to <br /> address the various projects and consider prioritizing projects. <br /> Bredthauer suggested using voting process to determine the process. <br /> Arnold note that it would have to be in a public meeting. He also noted that the department <br /> heads may also have some input. There is also the Berggren study that that needs to be <br /> addressed and special meeting would be the best way. <br /> Quandt also stated a special meeting would be the best to go over each project and they would <br /> also need to know the scope of the projects. <br /> Lanfear noted that the Berggren study left it open but the board needs to sit down and find the <br /> biggest needs and explain the projects. <br /> Richardson also stated the board needs to follow the study we spent $35,000.00. We cannot <br /> know all of the specifications on each project. <br /> Schuppan stated the Berggren study is a good guide but there may also be other important <br /> projects that need to be addressed like the parking lot. <br /> Arnold suggested that there could be a 1 year priority list and there could be additional meetings <br /> to address future project. <br /> Lancaster also noted it may take additional meetings and things may change in 10 months there <br /> may be different long range plans and there may be different opinions. <br /> Schuppan suggested that there could be the 1 year priority list and a list for future projects a 2 <br /> and a 5 year plan. He suggested holding the regular meetings and then coming back and <br /> addressing those issues after regular meeting. <br /> g) HALL COUNTY PARK DISCUSSION ON DONATION BOXES —Mr. Humphrey suggested to <br /> consider donation boxes at the park. There have been times when people will donate money for <br /> flowers. He also noted that there could be a donation box for the dump stations. He is bring this <br /> forward for discussion. <br /> Lancaster suggested to bring back costs and how many. <br /> 5 <br />
