Schuppan made a motion and Quandt seconded to accept the bids and refer them to the public works department and come back in 2 week with a recommendation. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 11e) UPDATE ON VETERAN'S PARK-- Loran stated that they are working on leveling the land to provide better drainage they have a plan in place and will use some of the labor from the park to plant the trees. He has been trying to contact some boy scouts but they would have to pre drill the holes. Discussion was held and Loran will check with the Road Department to see if they have auger then set a date to plant the trees. 11 F)DISCUSSION ON PRIORITIZING OF PROJECTS — Richardson stated that the committee has discussed having a special meeting to discuss the process they would like to use to address the various projects and consider prioritizing projects. Bredthauer suggested using voting process to determine the process. Arnold note that it would have to be in a public meeting. He also noted that the department heads may also have some input. There is also the Berggren study that that needs to be addressed and special meeting would be the best way. Quandt also stated a special meeting would be the best to go over each project and they would also need to know the scope of the projects. Lanfear noted that the Berggren study left it open but the board needs to sit down and find the biggest needs and explain the projects. Richardson also stated the board needs to follow the study we spent $35,000.00. We cannot know all of the specifications on each project. Schuppan stated the Berggren study is a good guide but there may also be other important projects that need to be addressed like the parking lot. Arnold suggested that there could be a 1 year priority list and there could be additional meetings to address future project. Lancaster also noted it may take additional meetings and things may change in 10 months there may be different long range plans and there may be different opinions. Schuppan suggested that there could be the 1 year priority list and a list for future projects a 2 and a 5 year plan. He suggested holding the regular meetings and then coming back and addressing those issues after regular meeting. g) HALL COUNTY PARK DISCUSSION ON DONATION BOXES —Mr. Humphrey suggested to consider donation boxes at the park. There have been times when people will donate money for flowers. He also noted that there could be a donation box for the dump stations. He is bring this forward for discussion. Lancaster suggested to bring back costs and how many. 5
