Lancaster <br /> stated she appreciates the time line. He stated that there are 3 rooms that are file rooms and <br /> they have to have heat and air. They though the rerouting would be complicated because of the <br /> historic building. Loran stated that they have found a different way to reroute so it will cost less. <br /> He will bring this back in 2 weeks. <br /> b) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON TREE REMOVAL QUOTES FOR VETERANS <br /> PARK— Loran stated that there ae trees at the veterans park that need to be removed and he <br /> has 4 different quotes. <br /> Henry Thompson Tree Service $48,680.00 <br /> Leetch Tree Service $15,200.00 <br /> Sheffield Tree Service $12,000.00 <br /> Skyview Tree Service $11,900.00 <br /> The committee is recommending Skyview Tree Service the lowest bid. Schuppan stated that <br /> Skyview did some work for him and they did a good job. <br /> Loran stated that he has used Skyview at the County Park and they do a nice job. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to accept the proposal from Skyview Tree <br /> Service for$11,900.00 for the tree removal at the Veterans Park. This will be paid out of the <br /> special revenue fund, Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> Loran distributed a copy of the planting recommendations from the Nebraska Forrest Service. It <br /> detailed the areas where the tree will be planted and the types of trees, shrubs and grasses and <br /> this will be done in phases. <br /> Stacey ask about the costs Loran stated that the plan was $750.00 and they will get the nursery <br /> stock and the total cost should be well under the $39,000.00 that the county has in the special <br /> revenue fund. <br /> Lanfear stated that the Forrest Service was out 3 or 4 times and they followed our lead and they <br /> were aware of the funds that are available. <br /> Loran stated that some of the trees have ash boors and they will need to be removed as <br /> needed. There are 5 trees that are dead. Discussion was held and it will take some time before <br /> the new trees are mature so they need to save some of the older trees. <br /> Quandt expressed concern on the removal of the diseased trees and Loran stated that will be <br /> addressed. <br /> c) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON CHANGE ORDER#1 FEDERAL BUILDING FOR <br /> DOORS—Loran stated that when the bid was submitted they submitted bids for 7 foot doors the <br /> door in the Federal building are 7 foot 2 inches so rather than go to the expense of change all of <br /> the frames they are ordering 7 foot 2 inch doors and using the same frames. It was also <br /> suggested to put some narrow windows in the doors. <br /> 3 <br />
