It is a commitment to the spirit
of the program as it was envisioned to be. He also noted that he hoped the County would
commit to having a clear and logical and science based process. Arnold noted that the
conditional use permits come to the county for approval and they need to be based on facts and
science rather than emotion.
Lanfear stated this is a commitment supporting the livestock community. He does not have any
livestock in his district but people in the area are depended on the livestock industry. If we
approve this we need to walk the walk.
Lancaster noted that it is not just the cattle industry it is everything else that comes with it and all
of the other industries that support it.
The vote on the motion to approve the resolution was taken. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster,
Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried.
6
