RESOLUTION#17-, 0 I A RESOLUTION CLOSING TIIE HALL COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS PETTY CASH FUND AT HOME FEDERAL BANK, TRANSFERRING THE BALANCE THEREIN TO THE HALL COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS INMATE WELFARE PETTY CASH FUND AT EQUITABLE BANK AND AMENDING THE MAXIMUM AUTHORIZED BALANCE FOR THE INMATE WELFARE PETTY CASH FUND TO $8,000 WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors has the authority to establish a petty cash fund pursuant to NEB.REV.STAT. §23-106; and WHEREAS, pursuant to authority to establish petty cash funds received from the Hall County Board of Supervisors, the Hall County Department of Corrections has established an inmate welfare account at Equitable Bank and a separate petty cash account at Home Federal Bank; and WHEREAS, the current Director of the Hall County Department of Corrections finds the accounts described in the previous paragraph to be duplicative; and WHEREAS, the Director of the Hall County Department of Corrections has, in writing, requested authority to close the Petty Cash Account at Home Federal Bank,to transfer the balance of said account to the Inmate Welfare Account at Equitable Bank and to raise the authorized balance of said account to $8,000. A copy of the request is attached hereto and by this reference made part hereof. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hall County Board of Supervisors that: 1. The Hall County Department of Corrections Petty Cash Account at Home Federal Bank be closed. 2. That the balance of the HCDC Petty Cash fund at Home Federal Bank be transferred to the Hall County Department of Corrections Inmate Welfare Account at Equitable Bank. 3. That the authorized balance of the HCDC Inmate Welfare Account at Equitable Bank be raised to $8,000. 4. That the HCDC Inmate Welfare Account at Equitable Bank be used for the sole purpose of purchasing food, supplies, personal hygiene supplies and other items or services necessary for the welfare of the inmates of the Hall County Department of Corrections. This fund can be used for those expenditures for which payment must be made prior to the date accommodated through the regular claims procedure. 5. The HCDC Inmate Welfare Account at Equitable Bank shall be reimbursed through the regular claims procedure during the next cycle.
