RESOLUTION#17-, 0 I <br /> A RESOLUTION CLOSING TIIE HALL COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS <br /> PETTY CASH FUND AT HOME FEDERAL BANK, TRANSFERRING THE BALANCE <br /> THEREIN TO THE HALL COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS INMATE <br /> WELFARE PETTY CASH FUND AT EQUITABLE BANK AND <br /> AMENDING THE MAXIMUM AUTHORIZED BALANCE FOR THE <br /> INMATE WELFARE PETTY CASH FUND TO $8,000 <br /> WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors has the authority to establish a petty <br /> cash fund pursuant to NEB.REV.STAT. §23-106; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to authority to establish petty cash funds received from the Hall <br /> County Board of Supervisors, the Hall County Department of Corrections has established an <br /> inmate welfare account at Equitable Bank and a separate petty cash account at Home Federal <br /> Bank; and <br /> WHEREAS, the current Director of the Hall County Department of Corrections finds the <br /> accounts described in the previous paragraph to be duplicative; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of the Hall County Department of Corrections has, in writing, <br /> requested authority to close the Petty Cash Account at Home Federal Bank,to transfer the balance <br /> of said account to the Inmate Welfare Account at Equitable Bank and to raise the authorized <br /> balance of said account to $8,000. A copy of the request is attached hereto and by this reference <br /> made part hereof. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hall County Board of Supervisors that: <br /> 1. The Hall County Department of Corrections Petty Cash Account at Home Federal <br /> Bank be closed. <br /> 2. That the balance of the HCDC Petty Cash fund at Home Federal Bank be transferred to <br /> the Hall County Department of Corrections Inmate Welfare Account at Equitable Bank. <br /> 3. That the authorized balance of the HCDC Inmate Welfare Account at Equitable Bank <br /> be raised to $8,000. <br /> 4. That the HCDC Inmate Welfare Account at Equitable Bank be used for the sole <br /> purpose of purchasing food, supplies, personal hygiene supplies and other items or services <br /> necessary for the welfare of the inmates of the Hall County Department of Corrections. This fund <br /> can be used for those expenditures for which payment must be made prior to the date <br /> accommodated through the regular claims procedure. <br /> 5. The HCDC Inmate Welfare Account at Equitable Bank shall be reimbursed through <br /> the regular claims procedure during the next cycle. <br />
