Bredthauer stated she attended the extension board meeting and they are working on the <br /> remodeling. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT- Stacey stated she will not be here for the next board <br /> meeting. Jane will take care of the audio and the video recording and Stacey will take care of <br /> the rest when she gets back. Stacey asked the board member if they would like paper packet <br /> and Gary, Karen and Pam stated they would so these will be ready on Friday afternoon. <br /> 25. FACILITIES AGENDA— <br /> a) SET A BID OPENING FOR THE CHILD SUPPORT REMODEL AT THE FEDERAL <br /> BUILDING - Richardson made a motion and Lanfear seconded to set the bid opening for the <br /> remodel at the Federal Building for April 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with bids due April 17, 2017 at <br /> 5:00 p.m. <br /> Bredthauer stated that she received 3 E mails and phone calls expressing concern that only 7 or <br /> 8 people will be going to that building. She read a statement voicing her concerns regarding the <br /> Federal Building that it is not a free building and this not the right way to spend the citizen's <br /> money. <br /> Richardson stated this was approved 2 weeks ago and now this is discussed again when the <br /> professionals are not here. This was all discussed at the committee meeting. <br /> Lanfear asked why they are doing this. We are sitting a bid opening date. Bredthauer stated <br /> that after the phone calls and the E mails she wanted to address it publically. <br /> Quandt noted that he and Karen have construction backgrounds and asked why there couldn't <br /> be something less expensive. This is stupid and common sense is gone. One person thought <br /> this was the cost to remodel the whole building. <br /> Bredthauer noted that Mr. Berggren stated it would cost about $70.00 to remodel the old health <br /> department building and this will be $200.00 <br /> Richardson stated that she is the chair of the building &grounds committee and she has not <br /> had any phone calls. Schuppan stated that he has not had any calls either. <br /> Lanfear stated that the only call he has was concern from some contractors about fixing the old <br /> ceiling in the Courthouse. <br /> Lancaster stated she did receive concerns from contractors and it was suggested to have two <br /> set of bids. One for the paint and carpet and one for the rest of the remodel. <br /> The vote on the motion to set the bid opening was taken. Arnold, Lanfear, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and Bredthauer, Lancaster and Quandt voted no. Motion carried. <br /> b)DISCUSS AND APPROVE PROPOSAL FOR THE TELEPHONE SYSTEM FOR THE <br /> FEDERAL BUILDING - Mr. Humphrey stated that he was contacted by Loran Cleveland with <br /> BTS that he found a phone system that would be compatible with our current system. Mr. <br /> Drudik has reviewed this proposal and it is a good deal. <br /> Arnold noted that the total is $5,500.00 and it would require competitive quotes. Richardson <br /> asked if the quotes would be on new or used systems but it could be either. <br /> 10 <br />
