DISCUSSION REGARDING STATUS OF HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN FUNDS - Schuppan <br /> stated that the insurance committee received information from Lee Johnson with Mid-American <br /> that the claims fund was short and there is a concern processing the claims. Stacey explained <br /> that because of when the bill was received and when the checks for payment were processed <br /> they did not receive a check in November so there is still a large amount that they will be paid. <br /> Mr. Johnson is requesting to transfer$200,000.00 from a CD to a money market account so the <br /> funds will be available. She also stated that Hall County has $800,000.00 in funds for payment <br /> of claims. This has not been a good plan year and Hall County may have a large increase in <br /> premiums next year. We will have a better idea in January. Schuppan stated he just wanted to <br /> update the board. <br /> 20. APPROVE BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS AND REGULAR CLAIMS - <br /> a) APPROVE BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS FOR DECEMBER 30, 2016 PAY DATE <br /> b) AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL CLAIMS FOR DECEMBER 30, 2016 <br /> The board members received the board preapproval for the regular claims to be paid December <br /> 16, 2016. —Quandt made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the biweekly pay <br /> claims and regular claims for December 13, 2016 and to approve and authorize the clerk to pay <br /> the biweekly play claims for the December 30, 2016 pay date and the essential additional claims <br /> for December that will be paid out on December 30, 2016. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS - Mr. Purdy expressed concern on the MAAA <br /> web site that transportation was difficult to find. Lancaster stated that they did a study to see <br /> what the cost would be to add the public transportation to the web site and was not cost <br /> effective. It is the City's responsibility to cover this and most people prefer to call in. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS —Chad Nabity stated that the report regarding the request <br /> from Heritage Disposal was submitted to the state and they have 45 days to submit it to the <br /> County and then the County has 45 days to address the request. This is a request for a <br /> conditional use permit for and expanded operation. <br /> Lancaster noted the information that was in the Omaha World Herald paper regarding the tax <br /> credits.
