Quandt questioned the work that was done the Office Building to raise the foundation. Mr. <br /> Humphrey stated that they went down 40 feet to find bed rock and then placed 9 pears that <br /> were set on angle iron and these are permanent. Then they used hydraulic cylinders to raise <br /> the building. <br /> Lancaster stated that she did some research and was satisfied that it was stable. There is not a <br /> tremors amount of weight. <br /> Quandt expressed concern that they did not fill the void and the correct way to do it would be to <br /> fill the void with sand. Mr. Humphrey stated that it was only raised one inch. Quandt stated he <br /> would like to have them come in and address how it was done. Mr. Humphrey stated he will <br /> contact them and address it again in 2 weeks. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS—Arnold suggested that the board consider <br /> using the list from the radio to have a board member arrange for the invocation for the board <br /> meeting. It would be good for the board to have other people come in. <br /> Quandt thanked Jane for veteran employee recognition. She stated that they only have 2 left <br /> and all of the veterans will be recognized. <br /> Stacey reminded the board members to let Pam know about the committees. Pam stated that <br /> she and Jane will get together and it will be on the next agenda. She stated she would like to <br /> have the information by the end of the week. Stacey will provide a hard copy of the list. <br /> Ms. Bredthauer noted a conference that she would like to attend. Each board member has <br /> dollars in the budget for the various conferences. <br /> 12:55 p.m. The meeting was recessed for the quarterly jail tour. All members will attend. <br /> aria .
