OFFICE REPORT <br /> HALL COUNTY SHERIFF <br /> AUGUST 2016 <br /> TOTAL FEES MILEAGE & MISC $ 17,547.30 <br /> COPIES $ 40.00 <br /> HANDGUN APPLICATIONS $ 90.00 <br /> TITLE INSPECTIONS $ 3,940.00 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Held a B oar d o f Equalization meeting. <br /> 9:13 a.m. Returned to the regular meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION— Lancaster introduced Mike Leggott board member with Habitat for <br /> Humanity. He was present with "Milky the Cow" and is offering the opportunity to have the <br /> board member's picture taken with Milky for a $5.00 donation to Habitat for Humanity. They <br /> have corporate sponsors that will match the donations that are received. The board members <br /> donated to Habitat for Humanity and had their picture taken. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 5 COUNTY ATTORNEY - a)DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON PROPOSED INTERLOCAL <br /> AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE GRAND ISLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY USE AND PRIVILEGES TO <br /> HALL COUNTY RESIDENTS LIVING OUTSIDE OF THE CITY LIMITS OF GRAND ISLAND— <br /> Mr. Zitterkopf stated he drafted the agreement and then it was sent to Jerry Janulewicz for his <br /> review. This is for the use of the Grand Island Public Library it is not just for books but for other <br /> educational opportunities. The library board approved this agreement last night and it is here <br /> for the County Board's approval and will then go to the city next week. The agreement is for <br /> $17,000.00. The library is already issuing the cards. Lancaster stated this this was a great <br /> effort and appreciates the work that was done. She urged the county to approve. <br /> Steve Fosselman, Director of the library stated they have issued 24 cards and he a pp reciates to <br /> be able to provide this service. He explained that it is a household card but everyone in a <br /> household will have a card. He stated he will provide information on the number of cards on a <br /> quarterly basis. <br /> Alan Lepler president of library board thanked the committee for coming together and focusing <br /> on how they were going to serve the community. Arnold stated that he enjoys the audio books. <br /> Richardson thanked him for the work and asked if they came up with some ideas how to market <br /> this and Alan stated they are working on it. <br /> Quandt stated this is good for Grand Island and Hall County. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the interlocal agreement to provide <br /> library use to Hall County residents. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt and Richardson <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Schuppan was absent. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Zitterkopf stated that items 5 b c and d will involve a conference call with Pam Bourne. <br /> 3 <br />
