10:35 A.M. Held a Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> 10:46 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Corrections meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> 14. DISCUSS &APPROVE FRANCHISE EXTENSION AGREEMENT WITH CHARTER <br /> COMMUNICATIONS— Mr. Zitterkopf stated that Charter has a separate agreement with the <br /> Kuester's Lake area and that agreement has expired and they are requesting to bridge off of the <br /> old agreement and then negotiate a new agreement. This will provide continuity of service to <br /> the people at Kuester's Lake. He does not have a problem with this. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the extension agreement with <br /> Charter Communications and Kuester's Lake. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 19 HALL COUNTY UNITED WAY BOARD REPRESENTATIVES- Quandt stated that he would <br /> like to see a representative for the United Way and Jane Richardson agreed that she would help <br /> and he will also help. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to appoint Jane and Gary to represent Hall <br /> County on the United Way fund raising campaign. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS <br /> Lancaster questioned if the information on the space study was sent to the building inspector. <br /> She also questioned the job descriptions and most of them are done. <br /> Purdy stated that Hazardous waste committee has been meeting and there will be information <br /> brought back to the board they met 8 times. He stated it was a good committee. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANTS REPORT- Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka reminded the board that the <br /> ballot issue of the elimination of township boards is on the ballot. There is very little information <br /> regarding this and the ballots will be going out soon. She questioned if there should be some <br /> public education on this. Steve White will be addressing this and there will also be an article in <br /> the paper. Lancaster stated that the radio spot could also remind people. <br /> Quandt thanked Jane Richardson for her help on the Vietnam Hero flight. <br /> 12. 11:00 A.M.-BID OPENING FOR COURTHOUSE CARPET—Quandt made a motion and <br /> Richardson seconded to open the bids for the courthouse carpet project. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Discussion was held on the affidavit of publication it was not received but was advertised. <br /> The following bids were received: <br /> Bidder- Carpet Plus.
