RESOLUTION# Ito-043 t <br /> ESTABLISHING ONE-WAY TRAFFIC <br /> ON HUSKER HIGHWAY <br /> FROM%MILE WEST OF 90TH ROAD TO ALDA ROAD <br /> DURING HUSKER HARVEST DAYS <br /> WHEREAS, in September of each year Husker Harvest Days is held on property located at 90th <br /> Road and Husker Highway; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Nebraska State Patrol, Hall County Sheriff, Nebraska Department of Roads, and <br /> Hall County Highway Department work together planning traffic control for the safe and efficient <br /> movement of traffic on the state highways and county roads that are impacted by Husker Harvest Days <br /> traffic; and <br /> WHEREAS,the event generates significant vehicular traffic in Hall County,especially on Husker <br /> Highway; and <br /> WHEREAS, Neb. Rev. Stat. § 60-680 provides that local authorities can designate highways or <br /> roadways for use by traffic moving in one direction;and <br /> WHEREAS, part of the traffic control planning is for Husker Highway from the show site access <br /> driveway at V2 mile west of 90th Road to Alda Road to be converted to a one-way westbound roadway in <br /> the morning as traffic is coming to the event and then converted to a one-way eastbound roadway in the <br /> afternoon road as traffic is leaving the event; and <br /> WHEREAS the Hall County Board deems it necessary in the interest of traffic safety to convert <br /> Husker Highway from '/2 mile west of 90''' Road to Alda Road from a two-way roadway to a one-way <br /> roadway during the Husker Harvest Days event. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Husker Highway from V2 mile west of 90`x'Road <br /> to Alda Road shall be converted to a one-way westbound roadway in the morning and a one-way <br /> eastbound roadway in the afternoon during Husker Harvest Days at times determined by the Nebraska <br /> State Patrol in conjunction with the Hall County Sheriff's office. <br />
