Berkley Life & Health. The plan provisions are the same, there were no benefit changes and <br /> they will use the same risk management tools. They have changed the lasers from 3 <br /> participants to 4 with an increase from $640,000.00 to $1,780,000.00. They are recommending <br /> a 20% increase for the premiums single coverage was $501.85 increased to $601.03 family <br /> coverage was $1,213.86 to $1,456.63. There has been a 3.5% increase over the last 5 years. <br /> The program has performed very well. <br /> Lancaster noted that this has been reviewed several times and a 3.5% increase over the last 5 <br /> years is acceptable. Hall County has been fortunate with Mid-American they have done a <br /> wonderful job. There was initially concern regarding self-funding and there was a split vote to <br /> approve the change. <br /> Mr. Wullenwaber stated the NACO Blue Cross Blue Shield rate for a comparable plan went up <br /> 6% this year. Single coverage is now ab out $900.00 and family coverage is about $2,000.00. <br /> Schuppan stated that the insurance committee and the audit committee have looked at this. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the recommendation for the <br /> renewal with Berkley. Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Arnold and Richardson were absent. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Wullenwaber stated that he needs to have the application with Berkley signed. Mr. Purdy <br /> signed the application and Matt will send a signed copy back. <br /> 10:35 a.m. Held a Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> 10:42 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Corrections meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS—Vice Chairman Purdy called for board <br /> members reports and there were no more reports. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANTS REPORT—Stacey stated she did not have a report. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS— Mr. Zitterkopf stated that the public hearing that was to be <br /> held for the truck wash was not advertised and the board needs to reschedule the hearing. So <br /> this will need to be on the agenda for June 14, 2016 to set the public hearing for June 28, 2016. <br /> Vice Chairman Purdy called for any new or unfinished business and no one responded. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10:47 a.m. the next meeting will be June 14, 2016. <br /> 1/ - 1%,� <br /> Marla .
