b) CONSTRUCTION UPDATE ON COURTHOUSE AND COUNTY OFFICE BUILDING <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that they may not make the June 1st completion date it may be mid-June. <br /> All of the water lines are in Judge Martins courtrooms painted and they did get prices on the <br /> carpet and the cost of installation. One proposal to tear out the old carpet and install the new <br /> carpet was $9,000.00 and one was to just lay new carpet and it was $800.00 <br /> Quandt questioned what work is being done during the day because it is supposed to be done <br /> in the evenings. Mr. Humphrey stated that there is a crew that works during the day to clean up <br /> and gets things ready for the night crew. Quandt expressed concern on the noise. Discussion <br /> was held. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated the heating and cooling it working on 2 floors but not on the bottom floor. <br /> Lancaster questioned the type of carpet that is being used. Discussion was held on the type of <br /> carpet. The carpet tiles may be more expensive but there is a big savings in the labor to install <br /> it. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that they are working on the second phase of the public defender <br /> and will be putting it back together next week and then will start on the final phase. He stated <br /> they are doing some of the work in house.
