Richardson stated that May 3 is Go Big Give they can always use additional funding. <br /> Lanfear noted on the criminal justice committee meeting has been meeting with Lauri Dethloff <br /> and will be meeting again but they will have a resolution before long. <br /> Purdy attended the hazardous site meeting that he was assigned to do and they should come <br /> back in October with a proposal. This is a state statute that requires this committee. <br /> Arnold stated this is regarding the request from Heritage Disposal and this state statute was <br /> because of the Boyd County issue. He also stated he will be participating in the Go Big Give at <br /> the pie throwing event. <br /> 19 BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT- Stacey Ruzicka thanked the employee recognition <br /> committee for the appreciation dinners it was a nice morale booster for the employees. <br /> 20. A CHANGE ORDER#13 THIRD FLOOR RESTROOM NEED MOTION TO APPROVE AND <br /> AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN — Lanfear made a motion and Purdy seconded to authorize the <br /> chair to sign change order#13. <br /> This is for the restroom that was not included in the RFP. There is a 5% charge on the plumbing <br /> for Mid Plains and the 1% for the engineer. <br /> Lancaster questioned what they needed to do and Mr. Humphrey stated there is a new floor <br /> new lights and new fixtures. He also stated that it has been difficult to getting proposals for this <br /> work. <br /> The vote on the motion was taken Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> c) DISCUSS &APPROVE CHANGE ORDER#14 - Mr. Humphrey stated that this is to build a <br /> cat walk in the upper level. There were problems with the ceiling in the courtroom cracking <br /> because of the movement. They added expansion joints to the ceiling and that has helped but <br /> they will still need to do more work and maintenance so this was suggested. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve change order#14 and <br /> authorize the chair to sign. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Stacey stated that she has a spread sheet on the current costs and what is left. There is still <br /> painting and carpeting left to do. Lancaster thanked her for the report and asked that the board <br /> and the audit committee receive the information. <br /> CONSTRUCTION UPDATE - Mr. Humphrey stated that the carpeting is being installed and the <br /> courtroom should be done by the end of week. The first floor restrooms have been demolished <br /> and that is going well. <br /> He reported that the county office building Phase#1 is almost complete. The counter tops have <br /> arrived and they have started to move in. They will be starting on the Phase#2 demolition. <br /> Quandt noted that there are some adjustments on the men's restroom that need to be made <br /> and Mr. Humphrey stated they are working on that. <br /> 6 <br />
