Schuppan stated that there are new numbers. Mr. Humphrey presented information to the <br /> board members and showed pictures of the ceiling. These are 19 ft. ceilings. He also showed <br /> the board a copy of the plan and the design. <br /> Arnold stated he looked at the ceiling and is more supportive of preserving it when the rotunda <br /> was redone it was beautiful. This is a one in a lifetime opportunity and if it isn't done now it will <br /> never be done. <br /> Richardson also stated she believes that they should try to preserve the courthouse and would <br /> like to redo the ceiling. It is a lot of money but it would be worth it in the long run. <br /> Lancaster stated that she was contacted by Bob Ripley from the state and he would help with <br /> contacts. She also noted that the heating and cooling could be put in the walls. <br /> Lanfear does not have a problem restoring these buildings but it is over$200,000.00 and he <br /> stated he does not have support from his district to do this. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that Judge Luther does not have an issue with the renovations no one is <br /> complaining. <br /> Quandt expressed concern on the additional space that will have to be heated and cooled and <br /> concern on the fact that there isn't any fire suppression in the building. <br /> Richardson made a motion and Lancaster seconded to proceed with the renovations of the <br /> ceiling in Courtroom #1. Arnold, Lancaster, Purdy and Richardson all voted yes and Lanfear, <br /> Quandt and Schuppan voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Humphrey noted the information on the painting and it they wanted it to be like the original <br /> paint. <br /> Richardson made a motion and Lancaster seconded to accept the option for the 4 colors that <br /> will be like he original paint. Arnold, Lancaster, Purdy and Richardson all voted yes and <br /> Lanfear, Quandt and Schuppan voted no. Motion carried. It was noted that the total cost would <br /> be about $200,864.00. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that the carpet for juvenile diversion will be installed December 8, 9 and <br /> 10 and he has a proposal for the demolition for the public defender's area. He also stated that <br /> the courthouse restrooms remodeling is preceding and they are removing the fixtures and <br /> partitions <br /> 7 <br />
