Arnold stated they need to set a date when the applications are closed and then decide on the <br /> process. Discussion that the ads will need to be redone. Stacey read the ad. <br /> Schuppan withdrew his motion and Lanfear withdrew his second. <br /> Lancaster discussion on the dates it was left open ended and then set a date for the interviews <br /> and that was the thought process. Need to find some middle ground. Discussion on the date. <br /> Lancaster motion and Quandt seconded to set the dead deadline for receiving applications and <br /> resumes for January 6, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Discussion was held and Lancaster withdrew her <br /> motion and Quandt withdraw his second. <br /> Discussion on the wording in the ads. <br /> Lanfear stated they have 4 applications just see if there is any more interest and the board do <br /> the interviews. Discussion on the applications. <br /> Lancaster read a statement out the applications and the process for receiving the resumes and <br /> they are in a file in Stacey's office. <br /> Schuppan stated that Mr. Zitterkopf and Pam Lancaster were sent a resume on September 30, <br /> 2015. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS - Quandt stated he attended the MPO <br /> meeting and there was discussion on speed limits and they are doing a study on South Locust <br /> regarding the speed limit. <br /> Richardson reported she attended the CASA event and the raised more money that they have <br /> ever done in the past. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT— Stacy reminded the board members of the NACO <br /> conference next week. <br /> 17A FACILITIES COMMITTEE — DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON BIDS FOR CAMPUS <br /> MAINTENANCE TRACTOR — Loran Humphrey stated the board received 2 bids for the tractor <br /> Green Line equipment for $36,614.41 and Titan Machinery for$41,429.00. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Schuppan seconded to accept the low bid from Green Line for the <br /> John Deere tractor and blade. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 17 B DISCUSSION AND ACTION REGARDING COURTROOM #1 RENOVATION <br /> Lancaster stated that she contacted the Nebraska State Historical Preservation Office <br /> Regarding funding for the restoration and the have tax credits available and the first opportunity <br /> to submit a grant will be on January 4, 2016. She is doing some research on tax credits. There <br /> are a few attorneys that deal with this but there is the potential to receive some dollars. It was <br /> discussed to submit an application for the entire Courthouse project. They may also be an <br /> opportunity for dollars for the federal building. A project has to be shovel ready to receive any <br /> funds. The board needs to decide if they are going to proceed with this project. <br /> 6 <br />
