<br />A RESOLUTION FOR THE ADOPTION OF UNIFORM BUILDING,
<br />PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, AND SIGN CODES.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Neb. Rev. Stat. S23-172 authorizes county boards to
<br />adopt by resolution, which shall have the force and effect of law,
<br />the conditions, provisions, limitations, and terms of a building
<br />code, a plumbing code, an electrical code, a fire prevention code
<br />or any other code relating to building or relating to the erection,
<br />
<br />construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion,
<br />
<br />. maintenance , placing, or using of any building, structure,
<br />
<br />automobile trailer, house trailer or cabin trailer; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, for this. purpose the county board may. adopt any
<br />standard code by reference to such code, or portions thereof; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the County Board of Hall County, Nebraska, has
<br />received a recommendation of the Hall County Public Works Committee
<br />to delete from its mechanical and plumbing codes such sections and
<br />subsections prohibiting the installation of liquified petroleum gas
<br />
<br />appliances in basements and pits.
<br />
<br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br />1. That the "Uniform Mechanical Code, 1991 edition," including
<br />
<br />Appendix A, published by the International Conference of Building
<br />Officials be and is hereby adopted as the code of the County of
<br />Hall for regulating the design, construction, quality of materials,
<br />erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation,
<br />
<br />.replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of heating, venti-
<br />
<br />lating, cooling, refrigeration systems, incineration and other
<br />
<br />miscellaneous heat-producing appliances in the County of Hall,
<br />Nebraska. Said code on file with the County Clerk of Hall County,
<br />
<br />.

<br />Nebraska is hereby adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set
<br />out in this resolution except as modified, to-wit: that the
<br />
<br />following section be deleted from said standard code:
<br />
<br />A. Section 504(f).
<br />
<br />B. That portion of Section 2215 which prohibits the
<br />installation of liquified petroleum gas facilities in a
<br />pit or basement, and that portion of Section 2215 which
<br />states "Liquified petroleum gas piping shall not serve
<br />appliances located in a pit or basement where heavier-
<br />than-air gasses might collect to form a flammable
<br />mixture."

<br />2. That the "Uniform Plumbing Code, 1991 edition" published
