94 r'-- -393 ~ HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, DECEMBER 22, 1992 The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned session Y and by published call with Chairperson, Margaret Landis presiding. Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Bill Wright. None were absent. Invocation was given by Abernethy. Pledge of Allegiance was given. Minutes of December 15th meeting were approved as received, on motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen~ Hartma~, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, none voted no. Mot10n carr1ed. Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz was present. He presented resolution of intent to form a County Board of Corrections and job description for Corrections Director. Motion by Wright, seconded by Abernethy to adopt Resolution #1447 and set April 6, 1992 as tentative date to adopt final resolution. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, ,none voted no. Motion carried. RESOLUTION # l.jtjL7 A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO FORM A COUNTY BOARD OF CORRECTIONS WHICH SHALL HAVE CHARGE OF THE BALL COUNTY JAIL. WHEREAS, each county board in counties having a population of less than one hundred fifty thousand inhabitants may choose to serve as the county board of corrections and as such have charge of the county jail and correctional facilities and of all persons by law confined in such jailor correctional facility; and WHEREAS, the County of Hall, Nebraska is u couu~y having less than one hundred fifty thousand inhabitants; and WHEREAS, tho proper administration of the county jail by a county board of corrections will necessitat~ .::.~d =~guire the formation of a county division of corrections, the hiring of an Rdm; n; ~i:rative officer and other necessary personnel, and the planning for transfer of administrative control from the county sheriff to the county board ui ~uLL~~cion~, and WHEREAS, Nebraska Statute S23-2803 provides that a county board which, by majority vote of its members, elects to serve as the county board of ~~rrections, must meet as the county board of corrections with sixty days afL~L such election. NOW BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF BALL COUNTY, NEBRASKA AS FOLLOWS: 1. That it is the intent of the Hall County Board of Supervisors to adopt a resolution, by majority vote of its members, to elect to serve as the Hall County Board of Corrections and that the vote on and adoption of such a resolution shall be had on April 6, , 1993, during the regular meeting of the
