<br />94 r'-- -393 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, DECEMBER 22, 1992 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned session <br />Y and by published call with Chairperson, Margaret Landis presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Bill Wright. None were absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of December 15th meeting were approved as received, on motion by <br />Quandt, seconded by Frauen. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen~ Hartma~, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, none voted no. Mot10n carr1ed. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz was present. He presented resolution <br />of intent to form a County Board of Corrections and job description for <br />Corrections Director. <br />Motion by Wright, seconded by Abernethy to adopt Resolution #1447 and <br />set April 6, 1992 as tentative date to adopt final resolution. On roll call <br />vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, <br />,none voted no. Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION # l.jtjL7 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO FORM A COUNTY BOARD OF <br />CORRECTIONS WHICH SHALL HAVE CHARGE OF THE BALL COUNTY <br />JAIL. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each county board in counties having a population of <br />less than one hundred fifty thousand inhabitants may choose to <br />serve as the county board of corrections and as such have charge of <br />the county jail and correctional facilities and of all persons by <br />law confined in such jailor correctional facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hall, Nebraska is u couu~y having less <br />than one hundred fifty thousand inhabitants; and <br />WHEREAS, tho proper administration of the county jail by a <br /> <br />county board of corrections will necessitat~ .::.~d =~guire the <br /> <br />formation of a county division of corrections, the hiring of an <br /> <br />Rdm; n; ~i:rative officer and other necessary personnel, and the <br /> <br />planning for transfer of administrative control from the county <br /> <br />sheriff to the county board ui ~uLL~~cion~, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Nebraska Statute S23-2803 provides that a county <br /> <br />board which, by majority vote of its members, elects to serve as <br />the county board of ~~rrections, must meet as the county board of <br />corrections with sixty days afL~L such election. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF BALL <br />COUNTY, NEBRASKA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That it is the intent of the Hall County Board of <br /> <br />Supervisors to adopt a resolution, by majority vote of its members, <br />to elect to serve as the Hall County Board of Corrections and that <br />the vote on and adoption of such a resolution shall be had on <br /> <br />April <br /> <br />6, <br /> <br />, 1993, during the regular meeting of the <br />
