Reservations are due by Novem- <br />ber 6, 1992. <br /> <br />(5) State of Nebraska Department of Roads in regard to current federal trans- <br />portation act funding for roads and bridges. <br /> <br />(6) Notice from Regional Planning Director of final plats for Denman Farm <br />Subdivision and Kuehner Subdivision to be considered at their meeting <br />to be held November 4, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. in City Council Chamber of <br />Grand Island City Hall. <br /> <br />(7) Letter from Keith Sinor, Grand Island City Attorney in regard to recent <br />meeting on prosecution of minor offenses and his suggestions. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to place on file the communications <br />received today. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, <br />Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Hartman repoJ~ted Mid Nebraska Individual Services meeting tonight. <br /> <br />Frauen reported on Health Board meeting attended last Wednesday. Also <br />reminder the election committee to report at 2:30 P.M. next Tuesday, November <br />3 for early pick up of ballots for Election Commissioner's office. <br /> <br />Abernethy reported (1) Red Ribbon SCIP Program participation (2) Cha1her of <br />Commerce retreat which was also attended by Wright (3) Her visit with Nancy <br />Hoch at Nebraska'City recently (4) meeting she attended at Mahoney State Park. <br /> <br />Leslie reported he was only one to show up for Safety Committee Meeting. <br />Landis reported on audit committee meeting, still working on plans. <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill County Board Assistant reported (1) Mary Kay Shay, Election <br />Commissioner had requested use of County Board room starting today, Oc~.o ''Jer <br />27th thru November 6th with except of County Board meeting November 3rd. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to authorize Election Commissioner to <br />use County Board Room on dates she requested. On roll call vote Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted YE.S, none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br />(1) Ellen reported she will be attending Governor's conference in Lincoln <br />this Thursday and Friday (3) reported on Ron Bo~master response to costs <br />for fiber optics cable for Civil Defense/Communications Department connections <br />with county's network (4) reported on call to NACO office in regard to meal <br />per diem costs. (5) reminder to Landis to report on claim submitted by Road <br />Fund for meals at Dowd's Steakhouse. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Abernethy to approve paYment of claim to <br />Dowd s Steakhouse $~9.08 held from last week's claim audit. On roll call <br />vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes" <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br />Discussion on setting date for County Auction. Ellen Merrill to check with <br />Tom Wieck, auctioneer and suggested dates were November 21 or November 22 <br />in afternoon, to report back next week. <br /> <br />,~ <br />.~..... <br /> <br />--:...:. <br /> <br />MEeting was recessed at 11:55 A.M. To return to regular session at 1:30 p.m. <br />tc meet with Sally Halford, DirE!ctor of Corrections for Lancaster County. <br /> <br />Returned to regular sessio1 at 1:30 p.m. with Abernethy, Frauen, Landis, <br />Leslie and Quandt present. Absent were Hartman and Wright. Emmett Arnett <br />Hall County Sheriff was present. <br />Abernethy introduced Sally Halford, who visited with board members about <br />her 24 years in corrections and Lancaster County Director of Corrections for <br />8 years.
