Sh8 requestE'd to <br />be agenda item for next week to set date and time and approval to release the <br />specifications to bidders. <br /> <br />Chairman called short recess. Returned to regular session at 10:43 A.M. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee & Director recommends accepting the low bid of Barco <br />Municipal Products Inc, Omaha $14,739.20 for the cutting blades. <br />Motion .by Hartman, seconded by Quandt to accept recommendation to accept <br />the low bid of Barco Municipal Products Inc, Omaha, $14,739.20 On roll call <br />vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ellie Carrico, Clerk of District Court spoke in regard to the work load in her <br />office and presented written information on number of cases filed in her office <br />1983-1984 compared to 1991-1992 and the first quarter of 1992-1993. She had <br />6 people plus herself employed in the office at presnt time. She requested <br />$12,000. to $13,000.00 for a full time position. <br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Abernethy to authorize C13rk of Di~trict <br />Court to add one full time staff person and to pay from her current budget. <br />On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright ani' Landis <br />vo.:ed yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Randy Klein, Nebraska Corn Growers Association spoke in regard to 1ISE" of <br />ethanol in vehicles. He reviewed a written report for using ethanol in fleet <br />vehicle~ prepared for Hall County. He stated Douglas, Hamilton and York <br />Counties in Nebraska use ethanol in county owned vehicles and strongly encour- <br />aged adopting a resolution to use ethanol in Hall County vehicles. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Abernethy to adopt Resolution #1438 as <br />presented. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, <br />Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #~.~~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS the use of ethanol creates new markets for <br />Nebraska's corn producers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS eth~nol is a fuel that contributes toward <br />cleaner air; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the use of ethanol reduces our nation's <br />dependence on foreign oil imports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS ethanol is made from a domestically-produced, <br />renewable resource; <br /> <br />BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT all appropriate fleet <br />vehicles owned and operated by the County of Hall shall from <br />this day forth exclusively use ethanol-blended gasoline, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County of Hall shall <br />from this day forth purchase only ethanol-blended gasoline <br />for all appropriate vehicles. <br /> <br />Adopted this e:<1 t:^ day of October, 1992. <br /> <br />THE BOARD OF COUNTY SUPERVISORS <br />OF HALL COUNTY, NEBRASKA <br /> <br /> <br />By: <br /> <br />
